Has anyone painted a pavilion made of sunforger canvas?
I was told the paint doesn't dry but stays tacky.
However, I did some test brushfulls of straight acrylic, housepaint, and spray paint and the little bitty test areas appear to be drying OK.
I am a very cautious person about stuff like this though and I would like to hear of the painting experience of others.

My original plan was to hang sewn bands, but the test run looked Krappy. I prefer painting to sewing so I hope to be able to do that and am excited about the possibility.
Thanks :-)

Have they mentioned if it is possible to mix colors by adding pure pigment or acrylic to a white or base paint?

Not that I recall, but I'll try to search the archives tonight when I get home after my day with MIL.

Thanks. :-)

Another question I have is:
do they suggest watering the house paint down because it is easier to apply, or because it adheres better?

might be for flexibility- house paint can be brittle & crack/flake off on its own.

This makes sense.
Thank you.
