pavilion decoration

Has anyone painted a pavilion made of sunforger canvas?
I was told the paint doesn't dry but stays tacky.
However, I did some test brushfulls of straight acrylic, housepaint, and spray paint and the little bitty test areas appear to be drying OK.
I am a very cautious person about stuff like this though and I would like to hear of the painting experience of others.

My original plan was to hang sewn bands, but the test run looked Krappy. I prefer painting to sewing so I hope to be able to do that and am excited about the possibility.

I didn't ask yet. Yes that is what I should do.
I've been asking her so many various questions I thought I'd give her a break.
Never thought of the difference in color of canvas affecting the outcome,
interesting.

We're getting a black/brown tent made & she's already warned us that we can't paint the black. Oh well.

That will be great. I will be interested to see it when it's finished.
If you want to decorate you are probably more skilled than I am with using fabric for decoration.
I'm not so the brilliant with fabric.
