Brushes with authority!

This is what I did this afternoon:

It was very fun. We used bamboo; various animal hair, mostly buck tails; wood burning; faux sinew; bits of leather; viking_food_guy and khalja may recognize a few of of their beads used as embellishment.


They may be elaborate, but they are also functional and sturdier than the typical sumi brush.
The above are mine and those of some guild friends. I was in brush making 101, they took the workshop previously so were in advanced techniques.

That was such a fun afternoon of learning how to do it.
They are also practical, I go through so many sumi-type brushes in the studio.
