While frozen out of the studio

I have been painting this time on my own bisqueware. These are all incomplete they need to be fired and the ones with underglaze will have a transparent glaze applied over all.
I am a humble subject of the whims of the kiln and there is always the chance that the glaze firing will not work out, so I photographed them unfinished. It will be interesting to see the differences after the glaze firing.

Very stylized, no details. This design goes fast so I've done about 5 bowls with this guy. It's done over a heavy white glaze, so is maiolica style. The glaze will make the surface look much smoother.

This raven birdie is done with underglazes directly on the bisqueware. The swirls are because I left throw ring texture in this dish. He is done a lot more 'sketchy' style. A bit the way I do charcoal drawings .........A bit.

It was not my intention, but this pelican came out tending towards realism. This is also underglaze on bisqueware.

I've seen Canadian Geese so much recently. I love them.
This was done with the high fire maioloica like glazes. They are so much more messy to work with, I have white powder all over from holding the platters on my knees to work.
