When driving from the NCH campus to the Ed Center today. I saw 2 bald eagles soaring over a house & trees.
Right in the middle of a residential section of town. Amazing! I pulled over and looked very carefully to make certain.
It was very fabulous to see.

That is wonderful! I saw my first bald eagles here in Lacey about 6 years ago...floating over the lake my parent's house looked over, scooping up a very stupid trout and toodling off to wherever home was. I was stunned. There were nests to the south of us, but nothing close. I was so glad to see them coming back into the area. It was amazing!

Where do they get their tarter sauce?

Scooping up trout, what a sight that must be. I think they are looking for sassy squirrels here. My co-worker is a 'cat lady' and is worried they are looking for cats. She said a neighbor of hers in Clarkston watched one pick up a wiener dog once. Eagle had to drop it though, but the dog suffered a lot of damage.
I told her this is a case in point for never refering to one's dachshund a "wiener dog". The eagle was undoubtedly looking for someone who had left their BBQ uncovered, ;-)

Ooh! Nice! There was a pair circling over the Aurora bridge the other day when I was coming home. I think they live over by Discovery Park in Magnolia, but it was a treat to see them winging overhead. :)

Nature is cool!

It is such a treat.
Not everyone can see the beauty around them, aren't you glad that you are one of the people who can? :-)

They're amazing, aren't they? I've only seen about three in our area. They're so huge and, when the sun hits them just right, their white heads glow.

It felt like such a priviledge to see them. This is only the 2nd time in my life I've seen bald eagles in this vicinity. It was especially surprising to see them in the middle of town with only moderately tall trees.
