Yoinked from several good people:

A reverse resolution game because sometimes random advice is the best advice...

Please comment with something you think I should do or try to do in 2008. Big or small, silly or earth-changing. I'm not going to necessarily TAKE all of your suggestions, but I am willing to entertain any and all even VAGUELY plausible suggestions.

I think that you should travel down to Caid and spend some time with Hroar in his studio. I would love to meet you...

This could be fun.
Are there any ceramic centers near you? I have been thinking about attending a workshop or two away from home.
Possibly it could be arranged to visit as well as take a workshop.
Just thinkin'

LACMA actually has a fairly good collection of Islamic ceramics, too. Or they did when I was there a few years ago, anyway...

How about a private workshop with Master Hroar Svithandi?

The American Museum of Ceramic Arts has a workshop on the 20th of this month to learn how George Ohr did his work. They are having a new exhibit starting in March called "Into the Woods : a Fiery Tale", about wood-fired ceramics, etc. Although they haven't listed anything yet, they always have some sort of related lecture or workshop.

Sounds like a deal.

Coronation '07 was so much fun where we cooked together and in our own camps and camped next to each other.
That was exceptionally fun.

Take one day a month where you do nothing but relax and recharge - no SCA, no work, no projects, no to-do's or chores - just breathe, enjoy the world and enjoy you.

Before Hroar moved out to California, he was experiencing a lot of mental fatigue and burnout. I therefore ordered him to take a "Mental Health Day", at least once a month. This entailed him leaving his house and studio and going to do something fun and something unrelated to pottery. No doing errands or chores, but spend time going to a museum or walking around town and shopping/window shopping or taking a long drive into the countryside to enjoy the beauties of nature. Stuff like that. It is only difficult to get started with this idea, but once you start you will find yourself looking forward to it. When I worked at my last job, I got so stressed out at times that it felt like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. When I started taking a mental health day, even though it was just one day, my outlook on life improved and my energy at work improved. I don't know if your job will allow you to do something like this, but perhaps taking a weekend day and just doing something that isn't related to your job, or your pottery or your family might help you recharge your internal batteries and give you a day for yourself to be just yourself. I don't know if this is what was originally meant, but this is how I read the post.

A reverse, reverse, resolution...

OK, but when I die (say 3 months) it will be entirely your fault.
And... I am not responsible for what Miss dancing_guru will do to you.
