Why do I live here?
Sep. 2nd, 2007 07:23 amMy inexplicable loyalty to this stupid state has caused everyone else on my flist to step lightly around the subject of Idaho, so I guess it is up to me to make fun of it.
I don't care who the Senator Sleazeball hooks up with, it's his anti-gay, pseudo family values hypocrisy which seems par for the course with politicians.
The hypocrisy isn't a state belief, my friends, acquaintances, & co-workers for the most part, are as reasonable as anyone anywhere, if they are conservative they are sincere, not hypocrites.
But as long as I'm whining, it would be nice to someday vote for a state candidate who actually was elected to office; nice to send a state office holder a letter and not get back a doofus I'm-not-going-to-do-what-you-want-I-know-best letter; nice to have an Idaho Congressperson who did the world good.
It's incredibly discouraging that the man he will be replaced with could possibly be worse than Craig. http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/mark_schmitt/2007/08/the_real_hypocrisy_of_idaho_co.html
The most educational aspect of this farce is now everyone, even those in the most mountainous Idaho sticks, know the exact procedure for hooking up for anonymous sex in public bathrooms. Wish the news services would have included something about the use of condoms.

Date: 2007-09-03 12:21 am (UTC)Here I thought nudging someone's foot in the toilet was a prelude to asking for some TP when your stall was empty and they hadn't responded to your first request.
Ya know, Mendocino County is really rural and very arts friendly.
