What is the record for the most times a seam has been ripped out then resewn?
*sigh*
Probably different categories for experience, I'm in the low intermediate.

This is embarrasing to admit.
Just a hat.
I kept sewing the lining in the wrong place. Then I finally got the lining straighted out and now it's waaaay to small.
I've used the pattern before, but I've got the dumb.

After ripping out 3 times, my process goes something like this:

1. What is wrong with the pieces being joined that they won't go together properly
2. Try again
3. Take a break
4. Try again
5. Hand baste it first
6. Try again
7. Go get a drink of something nice
8. Try again
9. Reconsider if I am being too picky
10. Try again
11. Wad it up in a ball, throw it against the wall and try again tomorrow

Being picky isn't a problem.
But the drink of something nice sounds like a winner.

Heh heh, while I enjoy blaming others for everything wrong, and Amby is close at hand. It's just me.
So is sewing a left brained activity? That would explain my problems, because I keep making the same mistake over again such as sewing the lining side out, repeatedly. My brain doesn't feel like it's kicking in.
