The more things change
Aug. 24th, 2008 05:39 pmAfter a bit of struggle, I got Skype downloaded and a new webcam connected. This is a gluttony of technology for me and it was done to make it easier to talk to my son & DIL in Guadalahara. We had our first Skype conversation this afternoon with much of the conversation being: "Hello, Hello, are you still there?" in louder than usual conversational voices.
It reminded me so much of being a child in my grandparent's home and listening to the adults talk on the old box wind-up telephone.
