morgaina: (welcome to Idaho)

I'm still marooned, I can't get out no one else can get in.

I suppose I could sit back and enjoy my enforced vacation, but I am too much of an A type personality to do that. I probably wouldn't have driven to work today even if my car was accessable because the highway has visibility of 100 feet & that isn't enough for the serious drifting and blizzard conditions.

Snow plow guy didn't come yesterday, my guess is the roads he had scheduled to plow before mine were so difficult to clear that he underestimated the time it took. Today is worse than before, so I might ask him to wait until tomorrow to plow, there is still snow predicted Friday, but less wind. Yesterday I shoveled quite a bit, but the wind and snow filled in all my efforts.

While I won't say I'm panicing, I have run out of shredded wheat and am unable to get more. THAT is the kind of suffering I am going through.

Wow. Just like a Montana winter! Which is why I moved here.

You could move here. Not right now obviously as it would be devilishly hard for anybody to come help you if even the snow plow guy is too busy to plow your road.

Do you still get mail? Maybe we could express a few boxes of shredded wheat?

Okay, the mailing address is on my computer at home. So, can you send me your mailing address again, so I can mail this gift card to you for family? That way I can get it out in the mail, so by the time the snow clears, maybe you will be able to get your mail!

Really, supplies-wise I'm fine. I usually have enough food stored for a couple of months because I am teh obsessive-compulsive. Heat supplies are the only thing at the back of my mind.
I probably couldn't get packages larger than my mailbox I'd have to go to the post office to pick them up and I'm not going anywhere for awhile.
It's the enforced confinement that has me annoyed.
I can tell right now I am going to be a big problem for the staff in a nursing home in that far off someday ;-)

You are so sweet and thoughtful.
Really, I'm fine in spite of the missing S.W.
I am a wee bit melodramatic though, and will send you my address.

Sending many, MANY good thoughts your way. The Child just called and they have actually cancelled classes for today in Pullman. You guys out that way are not snow amateurs, it must be plenty bad :-/

So, I hear from one of our folks here in the office that she received a notification that WWU in Pullman was shut down due to snow.

I hope she is snuggled up nice and warm. Probably having a good time with her friends.
It does seem pretty extreme this season. I'm going to phone my sister when I'm sure she's home & find out how things are with her. She lives up in the sticks and has much more extreme weather than we do on the Palouse.
