1. What is your SCA Name? MorXXXa atte Wodelonde. I had to change part of it to pass, but I dislike the change so "Morgaina" it is.
2. What time and where do you portray? Early Medieval generic. Sometimes Palastinian will make an appearance.
3. In plain English describe your device. Red balluster jug on a background of black & white stripes starting from the left and going down to the right. Surrounded by a red border.
4. How long have you been in the SCA? 30 years??? Not sure when it became official.
5. Do you have any special titles you have earned? I'm a companion of the Order of the Laurel and the Order of the Pelican.
6. What kingdom and local group do you belong to? Great Kingdom of AnTir, Inlands, Lyonsmarche.
7. Do you have preferred colors for your SCA Persona? Changes from time to time, now I like dark green.
8. What is your war that you look forward to going to every year? I don't think there is one special one.
9. Do you hold any offices? I'm a deputy now. I've held many offices in the past.
10. Favorite memory from an event? Crown at Farragut with the best singing circle ever ever ever.
11. Are you a fighter? No but I do tend to be a warrior ;-).
12. Are you crafty (making things)? I am a craftswoman. If someone refers to me as "craftsy" or "artsy" I will not yell at them, but the lines around my mouth will get tight.
13. Do you teach classes at events? When asked.
14. Do you play instruments at events? I used to play dumbec and other percussion instruments, but got so discouraged with the quality of dance, percussion, and attitude I stopped.
15. Do you dance at events? I used to, see #14.
16. Do you feel that there is enough flirting and chivalrous behavior in the SCA?
More chivalry improve events so much.
17. Are you a "Black Hat" or a "White Hat"? Don't know what this means, but if it's the old meaning of the term I am one of the people trying not to be racist in this society. (oooo chill out Morgaina, sorry that's the way I am.)
18. What is one of the reasons you've remained in the SCA? Friends, learning new things, encouragment for research, craftsmanship and other good things. No one in the rest of the world, except my family, understands my sense of humor.
19. What peerage(s) do you aspire to? Try to live up to the ones I have.
20. Who was Crown when you joined the SCA? Leonora was Queen of the West, not certain who was King.
21. If you are a Peer, who was the Crown that elevated you? Laurel= Rorick and Berengaria; Pelican= Gunnar and Gabrielle.
22. Have you lived in more than 1 kingdom and which ones? AnTir was a Principality of the West when I joined, so the West and AnTir.
23. Have you helped found a group? yes
24. Have you had any house affiliations? I will be in fealty to Daedin as long as she lets me.
