Keepin Her Humble
Oct. 4th, 2006 06:21 pmSpeaking of egos (we were talking about egos weren't we?).
Here is what I do to stay humble. I go to GoodWill.
I went today to get some stuff for an art lesson I'm doing at school. The first thing I saw coming in the door was a carved covered jar I had made about 15 years ago, still perfect condition. Bargain price of $.99 of course I bought it.
This discovery happens occasionally. I once bought one of my older mugs for under 30 cents.
*sigh*
I'm kind of a hypocrite about this though. One of my fervent dreams is to find a "Maria Martinez" or a "Nampaya" at a pawn shop, I've had Anthopologist friends who did just that and let me hold them for a little while.
