potter's progress
Sep. 24th, 2006 08:12 amI did not end up throwing yesterday. When I walked into the studio it was obvious I was going to have to glaze and load a kiln, about out of space due to much bisqueware. So I did that although I really wanted to throw and won't have time to for several weeks :-(. My studio time is going to be spent mixing glazes, applying glazes, loading the kiln, and firing. Still a good time, but throwing is the very best. In addition, I wanted to make some cooking pots to bring to Baron's Ball.
My day job is M-Th so I usually have Fridays off, which would have given me enough time to do what I want in there, but my Mandt trainings are on Fridays for awhile. At least I will be paid for taking the training and that will provide me with a little extra money. Who knows maybe I'll even learn something.
I raked a crap ton (channeling Freeway Diva again ;-)) of leaves yesterday. But there are still plenty more and the tree looks still full. I vowed years ago to only plant evergreens unless I plant the little trees far far away from the yard.
It's so strange having all my children so far away.
