Health: Fabulous.

Ambarino: Puppy on crack

SCA: Working on a tunic, I am going over all the machine seams with a feather stitch in wool yarn. Unfortunately puppy got hold of the ball of wool in question, tore it up and spread it across the floor in moments. Is there no end to his perfidy?
I’m also looking forward to Wastekeep’s Baron’s Ball where we are organizing an “Artisan’s Retreat”. The autocrat has been such a delight to work with.

Medieval Pottery: Yesterday I put together some flasks and burnished some beakers intended for a pit fire. I am working up some red clay for another cloche. The clay was mostly dried out so is a lot of work to rehydrate.

Modern Pottery: I borrowed a DVD from a friend on how to make cane handles. They look so gorgeous I have recently made several plates and baskets specifically to wrap handles for. Definitely a ‘wabi sabi’ look. Don’t know how I will adjust my glazes which are *not* wabi sabi, or my pottery shapes which are not either. I know my work is too tight, my Potter’s Guild friends suggested I have several strong drinks before I sit down at the wheel (ha, ha), but I somehow think it will not help my focus to have to get up from the wheel to pee every few minutes.

House: Argh, I have to make some phone calls and I mean *this week* about some major fix up projects, I’ve procrastinated too long.

Work: School session starts next week, I’d better get myself mentally prepared and I want to get some new clothes. I have lots of clothes, but they are looking well worn and some have been splashed with paint and ink. What would be most beneficial is a magic wand to make them all look new again. Then I wouldn’t have to shop.

Kids: Celadon thinks she broke her pinky in a fall and doesn’t want to go to Urgent Care because of the cost. Haven’t heard from the boys in the past few days, I know Deva has one of his Performance Art shows in Chicago in September, so is probably working his hinder off and Gavin anticipating the start of school.

How old is your puppy? My little one is 10 months old, and I don't see her slowing down a bit - she is either full out spazz-mode or asleep. However, she finally is potty-trained and overnight dry (crossing fingers!) I was sure she had no bladder at all - or it was teaspoon size.

However, they are cute when they are finally asleep.....

Amby is 11 months and wild! He needs a gang of 10 year old humans to run him to exaustion several times a day. He's a cocker spaniel and will be a loving companion when the hyperactivity has been tempered by a dignified maturity (hahaha I'm not convinced that will ever happen.)
I want to bring him to camping events, but when I tried in April he was so wild I spent most of my time trying to keep him from tap-dancing on people's heads. Even sweet-tempered Duncan was mumbling threats.

Is Amby crate trained? It can be a lifesaver when "someone needs a nap" - of any species. Most of the time, Lotti loves her crate and goes in on her own accord. I am a big proponent of crate training and dogs love little caves they can call their own.

If we go to Sept Crown, we will have her with us, maybe we can find a spot to let them off leash and they can wear each other out.

BTW - my vet said don't believe people when they tell you that all your high-energy dog needs is more exercise to wear them out and calm them down. If you give a high energy dog extra exercise, what you get is a very fit high-energy dog. ;-)

Yes, he's crate trained. Per a suggestion from Elayne Graybeard, her dog Muggs is so well behaved. Sometimes when Amby's in trouble he walks to the crate himself. ("I know, I know, I have to take a time out")
Sigh, exercise doesn't calm them down, hummm? He probably needs more exercise that the slow walks I take him for though. (Heh, heh, but so do I.)

Yes, we are looking forward to it, got permission from Daedin (he he, but that was she was introduced to him).
Duncan will just have to bite the bullet or whatever Medieval saying is the equivalent. ;-)
Amby really is a cutie and loves people and other dogs.
